A very nice watch

I've just got it as a b-day present and it totally rocks, it looks amazing even tho is not a really expensive watch. I have mid-sized wrists and what I like the most is that the watch doesn't look oversized on me, also my shirts wrists just slip over the watch, so I don't have to adjust it, and living in a city as dangerous as Mexico I better be quick at hiding this kind of goodies.

Also the weight is perfect, it's not heavy and it feels solid, I'll give it 5 stars since it's the best watch I've had so far...I might change my mind when I finally get my TAG :)
Better in Real Life

Due to a miscommunication between the seller and Amazon I bought the watch for $50 under market price. The seller was nice enough to honor the price, though I would have understood had he not. I was prepared to pay the going rate anyway. The watch is much bulkier than I had imagined based on the photos. This is my fault and I'm pleased as it gives it the heft you'd expect from a more expensive watch (think Panerai size). I'm critical of fit and finish and this piece did not disappoint. The attention to detail and polish of the metal is perfect near as I can tell. In general the watch is more impressive and beautiful when seen in real life. My favorite watch right now of many, to say the least. One question though... why the red accent from the twelve to the four? I like it but does it serve a purpose other than to make it look "sporty"?

High Quality But Needs A Few Improvements

This is a high quality timepiece/chrono, something we came to expect from Bulova. It has a hefty, solid feel to it and it looks extremely well on medium and large wrists. The metal (case, dial, and band) are nice and rich-shiny so it could pass as a nice dress watch -- pretty much this piece is wearable in almost any situation or with any clothes. A few pragmatic improvements in the dial design area I'd suggest:
1. increase the contrast between the skeleton hands and the dial background (the contrast is somewhat weak).
2. increase the horizontal size of the date window just a touch (in dates that contain two digits, like 12, 13, etc., the flat line 1s are too close to edge and hard to see them under certain angles).
3. apply some type of illumination for night/darkness viewing (no illumination on this type of watch is somewhat puzzling).

NOTE: It doesn't say in the watch description on this site, but the long hand that is usually associated with the second hand on non-chrono watches is actually the chrono hand while the second hand is in the small sub-dial at 6 o'clock.

Overall, a very nice Japanese quartz quality watch with a touch of class that fits any active lifestyle.
Watch ok Bulova service not so hot

Reviewer: captbill,
Sharp looking watch. Solid feel. Like it a lot until it broke. Sweep second hand for chrono would not reset to zero. Sent it to address in owners manual for service. It came back in a couple of weeks, seemingly fixed......but with a ten dollar service fee and no watch box. Ticked me off. Looked on their web site and THERE (not in literature that comes with watch)they said they charge ten dollars to service a watch under their guarantee and they said don't send it in for service in the presentation box because they will throw it out! Now, about two months after I got it back....the second hand will not zero out, again! So, I guess to get it fixed I'll have to pay them. Should have spent another hundred bucks and bought a Citizen. Really aggravated by service issue.
